1940s-1950s
Establishment of Isuzu Parts Industry
Major Events
August 1949: Established Isuzu Parts Industry Co., Ltd.
March 1951: Established Tokyo Brake Industry Co., Ltd.
October 1956: Merged Isuzu Parts Industry Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Brake Industry Co., Ltd. to form Tokyo Parts Industry Co., Ltd.
December 1957: Built a new factory at 30-17 Hagimachi 3-chome, Ota-ku, Tokyo, and relocated the head office and factory
1960s-1970s

Major Events
August 1963: Absorbed Daiichi Seiki Co., Ltd. through a merger
September 1970: Established Tokyo Seiko Co., Ltd. in Fukushima as a subsidiary
November 1971: Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
January 1972: Relocated headquarters and factory to 1-6-1 Tsukimino, Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture
September 1973: Established Tsuruoka Brake Co., Ltd. in Yamagata Prefecture as a subsidiary
1980s-1990s
Relocation of Factory to Tamagawa Village, Fukushima
Major Events
December 1983: Established Tokyo Buhin Rockwell Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Rockwell International Corporation (predecessor of TBR Co., Ltd.) in the USA
February 1986: Established TBK Sales Co., Ltd. (currently a consolidated subsidiary) as a wholly owned subsidiary
March 1990: Established TBK Krungthep Co., Ltd., a joint venture with CM Industry in Thailand
November 1990: TBR Co., Ltd. merged with and absorbed Tsuruoka Brake Co., Ltd. (currently the Tsuruoka Plant)
August 1995: Established Full Win Developments Ltd. in Hong Kong as a subsidiary (currently a consolidated subsidiary)
October 1996: Established TBK Brake Co., Ltd. (currently TBKK (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary) as a joint venture with CM Industry in Thailand
October 1998: Established TBK India Private Ltd., a joint venture with Lubricare in India
May 1999: Relocated factory to 304-7 Miyanomae, Kawabe, Tamagawa Village, Ishikawa District, Fukushima Prefecture
June 1999: Relocated head office to 4-21-1 Minami-Naruse, Machida City, Tokyo
2000s-2010s
Change of Company Name to TBK Co., Ltd.
Major Events
November 2000: Constructed the Tokyo Buhin Kogyo Building on the site of the former head office factory, starting the rental building business, including the "Tsuki mino Saty" (Aeon Tsukimino store) shopping center
January 2002: Established TBK America, Inc. in the United States as a subsidiary (now a consolidated subsidiary)
May 2003: Established Chang’an TBK Co., Ltd. in China as a subsidiary (now Dongguan TBK Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary)
March 2004: Transferred all business rights of TBK Krungthep Co., Ltd. to TBK Brake Co., Ltd.
March 2005: Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
July 2005: Changed company name to TBK Co., Ltd.
August 2005: Established Changchun TBK SHILI Auto Parts Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Changchun Shili Automobile Brake Parts Co., Ltd. in China (now a consolida ted subsidiary)
November 2006: Began operation of the Richmond Plant of TBK America, Inc.
January 2007: Acquired ISO/TS16949 certification
March 2007: Acquired ISO14001 certification
May 2007: Established TBK China Co., Ltd. in China as a subsidiary (now Dongguan TBK Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary)
February 2011: Established Qiaotou TBK Co., Ltd. in China as a subsidiary (now Dongguan TBK Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary)
September 2011: Made TBK India Private Ltd. a subsidiary (now consolidated)
April 2012: Established Changchun FAW Sihuan TBK Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Changchun FAW Sihuan Brake Co., Ltd. in China (now Changchun FAWSN TBK Co., Ltd., an equity-method affiliate)
October 2014: Established TBK TECHNOLOGY (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in Thailand as a subsidiary (now consolidated)
February 2017: Sold the Tokyo Buhin Kogyo Building (Aeon Tsukimino Store) on the former head office site
October 2017: Acquired IATF16949 certification
February 2018: Acquired shares of Kimura Malleable Iron Co., Ltd. (now consolidated subsidiary)
November 2018: Acquired shares of Suntec Co., Ltd. (now consolidated subsidiary)
December 2018: Established Tongchuan TBK Auto Parts Co., Ltd. in China as a subsidiary (now consolidated)
December 2019: Dongguan TBK Co., Ltd. absorbed Chang’an TBK Co., Ltd. and TBK China Co., Ltd.
2020 to Present
Major Events
April 2022: Due to the revision of the market segments of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company transitioned from the First Section to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
October 2023: Transitioned to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market.
January 2024: Merged and absorbed Tokyo Seiko Co., Ltd. and TBR Co., Ltd.
